The unveiled treasures in the year of the Extraordinary Jubilee. The Papal Basilicas of Rome seen as never before: St. Peter’s, St. John in the Lateran, St Mary Major, St Paul Outside the Walls and the works of art enshrined within them. A film tour shot from previously unseen points of view with the latest-generation 3D and 4K technology. The most advanced and modern technology and a cutting edge film set made it possible to create unique shots and show art works and details that are not easily observable by tourists. Michelangelo’s Pietà is filmed for the first time on the other side of the glass case, thus making it visible without reflections and showing viewpoints that have been hidden from the public until now. The inscriptions on the tomb of St. Peter left by pilgrims, the dome designed by Michelangelo and shot from on high and at close range and the basilicas filmed for the occasion behind closed doors are just some of the exclusive content of this production. The film is enriched by three-dimensional models of the graphic reconstructions based on the original projects, some of which are kept in the Vatican Library.
